Lilly Beards
Hi! My name's Lilly and I'm a textile artist and designer. Currently based in Derbyshire, I am relocating to Manchester in late 2020 to begin an undergraduate degree in Textiles in Practice at Manchester School of Art.
My specialisms include machine embroidery, in particular portraiture, and hand-woven tapestries. However, my process is an experimental one, and I also have extensive experience in painting, printmaking, photography (including working with both 35mm and 120 film), fashion design, and garment construction.
I have a GCSE and A-Level in Textile Design and won the prestigious title of Derbyshire Young Artist of the Year in 2018.
